Melbourne Konkan Community takes immense pride in honoring the exceptional achievements of our community members through the Annual MKC Recognition Awards. This is a celebration of dedication, talent, and contributions that uplift our community. We invite you to nominate individuals who have made outstanding strides in various domains.
MKC Awards – Categories
Community Service / Contributions: Recognizing individuals who have selflessly served and positively impacted the community.
Sports Achievements: Celebrating remarkable accomplishments in sports at the state level.
Talent Recognition: Acknowledging significant achievements in areas such as music, literature, academics, fashion/beauty pageants, and writing.
Entrepreneurship/Business Excellence: Honoring those who have excelled as entrepreneurs or in the business realm.
Other Categories: A space for unique achievements that deserve recognition.
Eligibility
Mangalorean Origin: Individuals of Mangalorean origin, embracing our diverse heritage.
Victoria Residents: Based in Victoria, contributing to our local community.
Achievements in the Last Year: Recognizing recent accomplishments that have made an impact.
Maximum of Three Awards Per Year: To ensure fair representation across categories.
Nomination Process
Nominate deserving individuals by providing a brief overview (150 words or less) of their achievements and contributions. Highlight specific examples that showcase their impact on the community. Please send your nomination by August 20th 2024 to mkonkanc@gmail.com
Review and Selection Process
The MKC committee will thoughtfully evaluate each nomination, considering its alignment with category criteria and overall impact. The final three awardees in each category will be selected for their exceptional contributions.
Recognition and Awards
Awardees will receive a recognition certificate and a felicitation during the Monthi Fest celebrations on Sep 7 2024. We will also spotlight their accomplishments on our digital platforms, sharing their inspiring journeys with the wider community.
