Hello! I moved to Melbourne in 2008. A few years later, I was introduced to the Melbourne Konkan Community by a member. I was surprised to learn of the strength of the community and the drive to keep the Konkan culture alive.

I was born in Mumbai, lived a good part of my early years there, studied to become a dentist at Government Dental College and Hospital in Mumbai. But I consider myself a Mangalorean at heart due to the connections entrenched in me by my parents. My mother and father hail from Mangalore. I completed my Masters degree in Prosthodontics at the A B Shetty Institute of Dental Sciences in Mangalore. I lived in this city for 2 years and fell in love with the people, the food, the traditions, the life.

I have fond memories of my time there and try to visit Mangalore as often as I can.

I now live in Melbourne with my husband and 2 children, running my dental private practice in Tarneit, Qualiteeth Family Dental Care.

Life is busy, hectic, exhausting, and fruitful, and being a part of MKC brings back a bit of my early years and nourishes the nostalgia I feel for Mangalore.

It has been a great pleasure to support MKC

and be a part of this vibrant community. I thank the committee for all the hard work they put in and the unrelenting efforts towards each and every event planned, culminating into what I can clearly see and experience... a very successful program.
